The guided service starts from Aguas Calientes town, with pick-up from your hotel or the train station depending on your arrival time.

Our local guide, with years of experience in the cultural and historical sites of Peru, will walk you through the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, sharing the best cultural, historical and archaeological knowledge of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The complete guided visit takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, covering the main sectors of the citadel including the agricultural terraces, the urban sector, and the principal temples.

 Verified An Unforgettable Trek, Flawlessly Organized
From start to finish, our experience with Machu Picchu Center was extremely professional. Immediately after booking, we received a detailed itinerary and all the e-tickets we would need, and the team was always available by email to answer questions as we prepared for our arrival in Cusco. The entire experience was incredibly well organized. From the pick-up and transfers to guidance about equipment and what we would need for the trek, everything was taken care of, allowing us simply to enjoy the experience. A very special mention goes to our wonderful guide, Jimmy, who met us at the train station and stayed with us throughout the day. He was extremely knowledgeable, attentive and, above all, incredibly supportive — especially during the more challenging moments of the climb. His encouragement and help made a real difference. The trek itself is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful experiences in the world, and having such a professional and caring team made it even more memorable. The only area that could perhaps be improved was the briefing the evening before the trek, which we found a little unclear. However, once the day began, everything ran flawlessly. I lead a group from Los Angeles and brought along 16 kids ages 15- 21. As I prepared the trip, one of my biggest concerns was who would the tour guide would be like. I have to say that the success of my trip was in part due to Mr. Jimmy. He was knowledgeable, passionate and and an overall great human being. Mr. Jimmy understood my group’s concerns and acted patiently and supportive, specifically during an emergency situation when one of my students got dangerously ill before getting to Puno. His assistant and coordination with ambulance, hospital and hotel, allowed me to focus on my student. I will be forever grateful for his support and encouragement. In short, if you’re planning on going to Peru anytime soon or in the future, make sure to go with Mr. Jimmy.
